MY STORY
My name is Piradee. I'm a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor, Total Barre® Qualified Instructor and completed The Fascianation™ Method Self-Myofascial Release For Professionals.
I was born in Bangkok and lived there for most of my life. In September 2017 I moved to Chiangmai to start a new life, closer to nature.
Before becoming a Pilates instructor I had a different life and career. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Journalism and Mass communication from Thammasat University, Bangkok in 1999, I first worked in a few different companies before settling down in a sales and marketing position within a large international media organization. I then also completed a postgraduate degree of Master of Business Administration from Bangkok University.
I began practicing Pilates in 2002, taking private sessions as a way to balance my life, to de-stress from my daily corporate career - and I have been a Pilates enthusiast ever since.
After eight years of Pilates practice and much better understanding, the depth of the Pilates method continued to fascinate me and I was compelled to learn more. In 2010 I decided to take the instructor course. I did some research on the different schools/methods and the STOTT PILATES® method caught my eye because its' refined method resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation — making it one of the safest and most effective methods available. Additionally, the organization behind the method has earned an international reputation as one of the worlds most respected. In regards to further education, it offers an extensive level of training and a large variety of course work.
I have been a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor and teach Pilates full time for more than ten years, and but I'm still learning and obtain Merrithew™ Continuing Education Credits (CECs) annually. It's not only for maintaining my certification status, but it's my passion to learn new things and expand my knowledge further especially the Pilates and movement-related.

My first studio was converted from a spare bedroom in my house at Sukhumvit 42 alley, Bangkok with one reformer machine and small mat equipment in 2011
My original intention was just to learn more for my own practice and to perhaps privately teach friends and family members on weekends (because I still had another full time job). My client base gradually expanded.
At that point I decided to leave my career and a very well-paying job in an advertising / media company - to follow my passion for Pilates and to become a full time Pilates instructor. During my last two and a half years in Bangkok, apart from private sessions at my home-based studio, I also taught group classes for Pilates Reformer, MOTR group-classes and one-on-one sessions for post-rehabilation exercise clients at their homes. |

MY APPROACH
Pilates in Thailand has no governing regulation, so basically anyone can call themselves "Pilates instructor".
Some "instructors" are trained over the course of a few weekends, others are not. Some completed the program but do not proceed further to meet the school requirements, including taking a certification exam. You can imagine that as a result of this the quality of instruction varies hugely here.
My intention is to offer high quality and result-oriented Pilates sessions to my clients. My aim is to create sustainable change for their bodies, applying the STOTT PILATES® method and movement with intention, - mindful movement.
I encourage clients to connect movement with their minds, focusing on body awareness as well as making each motion precise and effective so that they can apply these learned principles themselves in their every day life and hopefully discover more of their own bodies' potential .

Apart from visibly better posture, my clients will also notice the change on how they use their bodies, they will have more freedom of movement without stress on their joints, a stronger core, less stiffness, less injuries and better motor coordination.
Seeing my clients's progress, both physically and mentally as well as hearing the stories of how Pilates has benefited their lives, makes me feel good and happy. It is amazing what is possible with dedication and a great system of exercise!
It gives me constant motivation and inspires me in my teaching.
